Cleaning

My list of things to do this weekend:

1) Clean out refrigerator
2) Laundry ( there is always laundry)
3) clean kitchen
4) maybe sand the stairs?
5) pick up house
6) have DH look at the car
7) relax and watch a movie

Basketball

Today my boys played their 1st game of basketball. 3 weeks of practice on Sundays and their skills were put to test. One thing is they have to play in order to put these skills to test. My oldest son sat the bench! He still learning.....It's kind of hard to learn the fundamentals of the game when you only get to play 2 minutes in the first game and less than 2 minutes in the 2nd game.

My heart ached for him. He had tears in his eyes at the end of the last game. He came over to the bleachers and threw his shoes down....and said "I don't wanna play anymore!" I felt so bad for him. I hate the fact that he had to already experience some of life's downfalls. It's so unfair to him. He tries at everything. What little time he did play, we thought that he played well. He has a disadvantage from some of the other kids. He has a learning disability and for him go out there and give it his all is a great accomplishment. I was proud of him today! You did a great job my son!

Day after

Today: the boys were late to school. It's amazing that I am the only one who gets them up in the morning. It didn't help I took a muscle relaxer last night. It knocked me out.....

Now: I have been home alone all day. Sore as all get out! My neck and back are tender. I swear I will not wear dress up shoes on snowy days again!

Fall

Ok, so I'm not the most graceful when it comes to falling but that's what happened this morning. i was on my way back out the door when I slipped on the ramp and fell flat on my bum! What's worse is that I jacked up my back. Now I am on pain pills and muscle relaxers.

I had a feeling that the shoes that I picked out this morning where going to be a bad choice. We had snow last night and the ramp hadn't been cleaned off yet. I was in a hurry and trying to get to work and I lost my footing. Oh well.......now I have today off and tomorrow off.

It's nice to feel loved. My husband took me to the doctor's and my kids gave me an enormous hug before they went off to school.

Note to self: Never go down the ramp with slick sole shoes.

Sleeping

Sleeping hasn't been to bad with the puppy. He's actually done fairly well.....the other dog don't care for him much. I am hoping that he will grow on them. We have named him....and the winner is: CHEVY. Cute, huh? Say it really slow and then try to say it fast. I love the name. He's been a pretty good puppy so far.

Puppy

Here's a picture of the little guy. Isn't he cute? I'm not sure if he's full blooded German Shepard. Oh well, he's the newest member to our little home.

We have a new puppy!

What a decision we made today. We are proud parents of a new German Shepard puppy. Ugh, what are we thinking. I know, we have been wanting one for a while now. It's to late.....he's snuggled up by my neck and gave me kisses on my cheek. We can't give him back now...not after that.
